Our Gulet Favorites for 2020 season
On this page, you can find TOP 4 gulet charter recommendations for all main cruise destinations for each category for summer season 2020. If you click on the links below it will take you directly to the section (destination) of your interest.
To get a really good overview of the entire market, just read through the entire post.
After reading this article, you will have a very clear idea of which gulets are best, what are the costs for each destination and which direction would be the best for your group.
Who wrote this blog post, and why should you pay attention
My name is Mitja Mirtič and I am CEO of company Goolets. In the past 14 years, I have personally inspected more than 500 gulets and cruised on well over 30 gulets for my own holidays. I am the largest fan of gulet cruise holidays in the World and I do believe I have a good insight of which gulets are Best Value (and which ones are not.)
Each year, I update the list of Best Gulet Charter choices which is created on these criteria:
1- Which gulets and crew offer the most value for their price
2- On which of thee gulets our agency has the best conditions and most flexibility
3- On which of these gulets we know, the crew will do their best to make the client happy.
So these gulets are a combination of superb services and a special relationship with Goolets agency.
Yes, they are our favourites, but they are here for a reason. Because we know you will come home happy.
Team building in Croatia on gulet Nautilus
Gulet no.1 – Halcon Del Mar
Halcon del mar is a “Design and Engineering” masterpiece. It is incredibly hard to make a deluxe gulet with 8 cabins, where there is enough room to comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests, while still keeping a high standard of quality and services. Halcon Del Mar has managed to do it and they became the first VIP 8 cabins gulet in Turkey. The crew, the accommodation. The services. It is all perfect. This gulet would also work if you are 8 people and you would all wish to have own cabin or a family of 12, that needs room for a baby sitter or single cabins for teenagers. Possibilities are really huge here and I would gladly recommend this gulet.
Charter prices from €45.500 to €59.500 per week for groups up to 16 guests.
Gulet no.2 – Bella Mare
Bella Mare is a nice 38 meters gulet with nice and large 6 cabins. She can set to sail when the weather conditions are ideal for sailing. Between many features, there is a jacuzzi on board and the sun deck is very comfortable and large. Also the sitting area in the back deck is very comfortable and suitable to take all the 12 guests for lunch, dinner or drink. On Bella Mare, there are a vast range of water sports toys such as jetski, donut ride, sub wing, wind surfer, paddle board, kayak and much more.
Charter prices from €28.000 to €42.000 per week for groups up to 12 guests.
Gulet no.4 – Silver Moon
Silver Moon is the gulet, which has maybe the “best design” out of all gulets. It has only 4 cabins, however, just looking at pictures you can realise it is not an “ordinary gulet”. If you are a group of less then 8 people and would like to “show off” a bit and been seen on this masterpiece, while still staying on a decent budget, I would cant recommend this gulet enough. A lot of times a gulet is a good mirror of the owner. And the owner is really a special person, who really knew what he wished to achieve with this gulet. And he did it.
Charter price: around €27.500 – €32.500 per Week season for groups up to 8 guests
Gulet No.5 – Kayhan Kaptan
Kayhan Kaptan was completely renovated in the last season. They made it more modern, added a really nice jacuzzi, while the crew is incredibly experienced as gulet is under the ownership of one of the largest gulet cruise companies from Turkey. This means they know what they are doing and there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee. At this price, this is one of the largest 6 cabins gulets from Turkey, providing lots of deck space and superb comfort. Especially pay attention to prices in a lower season (May, June and September and October), where you will really get a lot for your money.
Charter prices from €18.200 to €27.300 per week for groups up to 12 guests.
If VIP/Deluxe gulets are The best of the best, I would say this category is maybe the best, when it comes to “Value for Money”. Deluxe gulets are better, however luxury ones are more “budget friendly”. Here are my TOP 5 recommendations, which I selected out of more than 100 options on the market.
Gulet No.1 – Nurten A
On the first sight, the gulet might be a better fit for the DELUXE category (25.000 €/Week), but the good news is that this price includes charter as well as food and soft drinks for 12 guests. So if you remove this cost, the price is more in 20.000 €/week section. Gulet has really good cabins and a bit unique exterior design. I also know (first hand), that the services and the crew are TOP of the TOP and that is why I would really recommend this option a lot. We also go “way back” with the owner.
Charter prices from €20.000 – €25.000 per Week (for up to 12 guests) – ON ALL INCLUSIVE BASIS!
Gulet no.2 – Berrak Su
Gulet Berrak Su is the first time on our BEST OFF LIST. I never fell in love in the design of this gulet, however, we had several groups booked here on 2018 and the reviews we received were some of the best, we ever got. The gulet is huge (size and beam). It has a nice flybridge. Cabins are comfortable. And for 12 people it is more than enough space. Since 2018, I am very happy to recommend this gulet to anyone. If you are okey with a design of the gulet, you will be happy with services as well.
Charter prices from €14.000 to €21.000 per week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
Gulet No.3 – Maske 2
If I would build a gulet for me, I would probably use Maske 2 as an example, how I wish a shape of gulet to look like. Maske 2, when you look at the prices and how the gulet looks like, you are not sure why the price is so affordable. I would just say an owner is a smart guy, how knows how to make 4 stars items look like 5 stars if this makes sense to you. If you are in search for gulet value, this gulet will not disappoint you. (check out the low season price!!!)
Charter prices from €10.100 to €15.440 per week for groups up to 12 guests.
Gulet No.4 – Derin Deniz
The gulet received a “Best Crew” award in season 2018 and I think this factor alone has to put the gulet also to my recommendations list. The gulet is in the family for a very long time, they know what they are doing. It is a family business. They combined experience with hospitality education of new generations and it just all works perfectly. You will be lucky to catch a free date on this gulet, however, if you do catch it, do not overthink. Book the gulet. And can instantly say you will probably be back for 2020 season again.
Charter prices from €12.740 to €16.380 per week for groups up to 12 guests.
Gulet no.5 – Queen Lila
I had to think really hard which would be the gulet no.5 in this category. There are so many great options out there, however after some thinking, the gulet owner of this gulet made it easy for me :-). We just made a special “cooperation agreement”, where we received special conditions for Goolets clients. So if you like this gulet (recently renovated, new jacuzzi, very comfortable cabins) let us know via email, and we will create a special package just for your group. But be fast, as I expect the dates to be booked fast for season.
Charter prices from €7.700 to €14.000 per week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
The word “standard” is a bit off when it comes to gulets in Turkey. All these gulets I recommend are clean, have a professional crew and provide TOP services when it comes to food, drinks, route and everything else on board. I would say these are the most affordable ones, however still very good in regard to quality.
Gulet no.1 – Yucebey 1
I feel a bit bad, that I put this gulet in “standard” category, as she could very easily be as well in Luxury one. Gulet is nice. Recently refited. Cabins very comfortable. Services very high. We have a special relationship with the owner as well on this gulet and will be very happy to prepare a good price and package for your group. If you are a group of 10 people, that wishes to experience a luxury cruise with a budget under 1.500 €/person/week, then I would immediately recommend Yucebey 1.
Charter prices from €10.150 to €16.800 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.2 – Kayhan 3
Kayhan 3 and Yucebey 1 are gulets, that show how thin is the line between Luxury and Standard. If I put both of these gulets in the Luxury category, nobody would lose any energy over it. Kayhan 3 is a brand new gulet, that looks more like a modern Motor Yacht. Services are also superb and I absolutely love this option. We have similar options also in 6 and 8 cabins range so just send us inquiry and let us know about your wishes, and we will be happy to send you additional proposals.
Charter prices from €10.500 to €13.300 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.3 – Cobra III
Cobra III is a 24 meters gulet based in Bodrum. She is ideal for small groups or families because she can accommodate up to 8 people in her 4 cabins. One of the main features of this boat is the service on board, the captain, chef, and the two deckhands will make sure that you are enjoying every single moment during your cruise. Also, they are experts when it comes to sailing, so you can expect some unforgettable moments when the team will set the sails.
Charter prices from €7.000 to €14.000 per week for groups up to 8 guests in 4 cabins.
Gulet no.4 – Grandi
Grandi is a standard gulet, however, a bit speciality of this one is not the size of the cabins – it is sailing!! The crew is made out of sailing experts. They sail every day and they are happy to show you or teach you how to sail with a gulet. This does not make services on the gulet any worse, but it is an add on worth mentioning. We had several groups in Grandi in 2018 and reviews were spectacular.
Charter prices from €6.350 to €8.950 per week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
Gulet no.5 – Karia
I wanted to show you this gulet as it is just one of the most charming options in the market. If you are a family of 4 or 6 people or 3 couples, that would prefer a private charter instead of a cabin charter, this option would be great. She is small, nice, cosy and a really good idea, if you do not feel like getting a group of 10 or 14 people to come with you.
Charter prices from €4.200 to €5.250 per week for groups up to 6 guests in 3 cabins.
Deluxe Gulet Charter Croatia – Examples
Deluxe/VIP section took huge steps forward in Croatia in the last 3 years only and went from maybe 3 HIGH DELUXE options to 15 or even 20 of them. So the competition is a bit better and variety for the clients is great as well. So please check TOP 5 VIP gulets I would recommend in Croatia.
Gulet no.1 – Lady Gita
Lady Gita is one of the best gulets in Croatia. She has an amazing 77 m2 salon and an outstanding 88m2 flybridge. This deluxe gulet can accommodate up to 12 guests on very comfortable 6 cabins. There is a large vast of equipment on board such as jetski, donut ride, banana ride, wakeboard and much more. Also, she features a swimming platform for easy access to the sea.
Charter prices from €61.600 to €75.600 per week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
Gulet no.2 – Dalmatino
We rated Dalmatino as the Best Value for Money gulet for 2020 season for a reason. I do not think you can find a better 45 meters gulet (or any type of yacht) for the prices at around 50.000 €/week + extras. Gulet is still being build but will be ready for summer season. And as the owner has long term experience in the yacht charter industry, we expect spectacular reviews.
Charter prices from €48.500 to €56.900 per week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
Gulet no.3 – Cesarica
Cesarica is not a “classic” gulet, however, she is one of the best vessels for Charter from Croatia. 11 cabins, huge salon, jacuzzi, superb cabins and great crew are a very interesting combination for the perfect gulet cruise holidays. She is perfect for a bit larger group of 16 – 24 people. You could also book this if you are 10 or 11 people, where each person wishes to have his own cabin. We have Ceasrica in our offer for several years and are getting nothing but blistering reviews all the time.
Charter prices from €32.500 to €39.000 per week for groups up to 24 guests in 11 cabins.
Gulet no.4 – Dolce Vita
Dolce Vita was one of the first “high class” gulets in Croatia. And in last year, her services and maintenance just keep better and better. While most of the deluxe vessels are going more in modern “yacht” style of design, Dolce Vita is a classic, wooden gulet, that as I like to say – has a soul. You just feel good when you board this gulet, and the crew makes sure the services are the same class as the gulet.
Charter prices from €28.000 to €34.000 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.5 – Allure E
Allure E is a nice 27.8-meter gulet build in 2011 and refreshed in 2017. She can accommodate up to 14 people on her 7 cabins (1 master and 6 double cabins). You can expect great service on board due to the experienced crew on board. There are a lot of water sports toys on board such as jetski, seadoo, paddleboard, kayak and much more.
Charter prices from €15.900 to €19.900 per week for groups up to 14 guests in 7 cabins.
Top 5 Luxury Gulet charters in Croatia – Examples
The luxury section is what I like to call “best value for money section”. These are the gulets that are TOP IN QUALITY, however still “wallet friendly”. Especially if you would compare their size and services with crewed Motor Yachts, that are almost half the price. Here are my TOP 5 favorites for season 2020.
Gulet no.1 – Anđeo
The best way to describe Anđeo is to say that pictures you are looking at are not a photoshop. Gulet truly looks like this in person (or even better). Anđeo is bar far the best-maintained gulet in Croatia and if you are looking something that gives you a feeling of being on a super luxury yacht – Anđeo is probably it. I am happy to put this gulet as no.1 on this list.
Charter prices from €17.500 to €21.500 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.2 – Kadena
Kadena is a perfect choice, for mixed groups of all ages. She has a huge master cabin, for group leaders. She has 1 more double cabin and 4 TWIN CABINS, which is perfect for kids or people who do not like to share beds. The owner is in the business for 15 years and knows how to provide superb services to all types of clients. Gulet has also undertaken serious renovations in last 2 years and is now one of the best gulets from Croatia.
Charter prices from 17.500 to 21.500 €/week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
Gulet no.3 – Nautilus
Nautilus is on our list now for the fourth straight year. Every year we sell around 80% of all charters on Nautilus and all of the clients come back incredibly satisfied. In the past 4 years, we had more than 50 groups on this gulet and we know we will be more than happy to host 50 more ASAP. Gulet has 8 cabins (one of few gulets in Croatia). They are all with a double bed (perfect for couples). Jacuzzi is a nice extra addition. Crew is great. Food as well. I am positive gulet Nautilus will be on this list for 2020 season as well.
Charter prices from €16.000 to €22.000 per week for groups up to 16 guests in 8 cabins.
Gulet no.4 – Adriatic Holiday
Gulet Adriatic Holiday is located in Dubrovnik area, with the captain/owner who is a local and knows each bay and every stone there. Dubrovnik is the most famous place in Croatia at the moment and Adriatic Holiday is one of the best-maintained gulets in Croatia. When you combine these 2 together, it is a recipe for superb holidays and great experiences. If you would like to jump to Montenegro as well during your cruise, it is also possible. Also the crew is fantastic.
Charter prices from €13.000 to €18.000 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.5 – Summer Princess
A new gulet in our offer… So why it is in TOP 5 SECTION? Because the owner is in this business for more than 12 years. Because he knows how to make clients happy. Because gulet has a promotional price. And because our agency has an exclusive deal on the price. So if you would like to book a good gulet, with a fun crew under the special deal…let us know.
Charter prices from €15.200 to €19.200 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 4 cabins.
Top 5 Standard Gulet charters Croatia – Examples
In the last couple of years, most of the gulet owners in Croatia decided to go into deluxe and luxury sections. If 15 years ago, 905 of gulets in Croatia were in this category, right now this number is much smaller. Now you only have a handful of standard gulets available in Croatia and these would be 5 options, I would recommend the most.
Gulet no.1 – Slano
Slano was in our fleet for the first time in 2018, and the feedback we received from our clients was surprising (in a good way). A gulet is completely renewed. The crew is nice. services are good. Cabins could be a bit bigger maybe, however, everything else is very high quality. I would recommend this option a lot.
Charter prices from €14.500 to €16.000 to week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.2 – Dama
Gulet Dama was one of the first gulets that arrived in Croatia. However under new ownership, gulet has undertaken 100% renovation and is now like a brand new yacht. She has 4 very comfortable cabins, while the best par of this gulet is her chef. The food and culinary experience is OVER THE TOP and even if it is a standard gulet, it has 5 stars cuisine.
Charter prices from €9.900 to €12.900 per week for groups up to 8 guests in 4 cabins.
Gulet no.3 – San
Gulet San is the most affordable 6 cabins gulet in Croatia. The crew is young, fun and will be more than happy to show you Croatia (on the budget). We had lots of groups in San and have a long-lasting relationship with the owner, that will go on for many more years.
Charter prices from €8.900 to €13.500 per week for groups up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
Gulet no.4 – Dolin
Capt. Ivica (John) is slowly becoming a legend in Croatia. One of the most experienced captains, who will gladly explain you all the history of Croatia while taking you to the most breathtaking bays – and will do this in really cool Australian accent (he was born and raised in Australia). Gulet will have 4 main cabins and bathrooms 100% renovated. (cabin no.5 will just be refreshed). If you are in search of luxury and a fussy person, Dolin might not be the best fit. If you are a nature lover who likes great food – then Dolin is perfect.
Charter prices from €6.800 to €9.000 per week for groups up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.
Gulet no.5 – Nevijana
Nevijana is a fine example of a small 3 cabins gulet, that is a perfect solution for a family of or 6 people or some couples, that would like to cruise together in privacy of their own group. Nevijana is small, but she can go to places where most of the other gulets cannot go, due to the small draft. She is well maintained and provides great experiences for low prices. I like Nevijana a lot.
Charter prices from €4.500 to €6.000 per week for groups up to 6 guests in 3 cabins.
Top 4 gulet charter options in Greece
In Greece, gulet cruising is still quite unexplored, which makes it a unique experience there. The options for gulet charters in Greece are limited. Still, we could qualify some beautiful gulets, meeting the Goolets standards.
That is why we have put all gulet recommendations from Greece into one section, which is called TOP 4 gulets for charter from Greece.
They are listed from DELUXE/VIP to Standard.
Gulet no.1 – Matina
One of the largest and most incredible and luxury type vessels in Greece. Matina can take up to 20 guests and the crew is specialized to navigate the Cyclades even in a bit rougher weather. They are real sailors, services are TOP and I can highly recommend this VIP gulet to any group interested in exploring Greece.
Charter prices €44.500 per week for groups up to 20 guests in 8 cabins.
Gulet no.2 – Glorious II
Glorious II is a 36 meters boat from Rhodes in Greece. She can accommodate up to 8 people in her 4 cabins (1 twin and 3 double cabins). She features a vast range of water sports toys like Water skiing, Wakeboard, 2 Ringo ride, Banana ride, Paddleboard, and Canoe.
Charter prices from €28.000 to €38.500 per week for groups up to 8 guests in 4 cabins.
Gulet no.3 – Erato
Not sure why, but Erato is one of my favourite gulet cruise options. The size of the gulet. The crew. The owner of the vessel. The area where they cruise. The flexibility. It all just works perfectly. Gulet has 7 cabins, but if there is a family with lots of kids, the gulet can take up to 19 guests, which is great news.
Charter prices: €28.000 per week for groups up to 19 guests in 7 cabins.
Gulet no.4 – Ece Arina
Ece Arina is cruising in Corfu region (Ionian Islands) for 2 years now. It did take some time that they arrived into the comfort zone, but now they are good to go in ready to provide 100% satisfaction to all clients interested in exploring this region. Ece Arina quality is very nice. Crew is great as well, and of course, the main selling point is – that is is more or less only luxury gulet in this region at the moment. So if you already cruised in Croatia, Turkey, around Dodecanese islands or in Italy, then this could be your next trip.
Charter prices from €14.000 till €17.500 per week for groups up to 9 guests in 4 cabins. (you might get an extra cabin on request)
Out of the box ideas.
There is more to gulets then just the vessels mentioned above. If you are in search for “out of the box” gulet cruises, you might wish to check also:
a) A gulet that cruises Southern France. Gulet Vita Dolce.
b) You can explore Ibiza in the highest possible luxury on Queen of Karia.
c) I loved the Sardegna/Corsica route in Italy and cruises with gulet Victoria.
d) Montenegro is getting more and more interesting. Check the route you can do on this link. We have a couple of gulets also available there.
What is the next step?
I think this gives you a pretty good idea what is “out there” and for what kind of prices.
This is just a general overview of the market of course.
You need to know, that there are more than 1.000 vessels for charter to choose from.
If you would truly like to get the best possible idea – what you can get for your money and what would work best for your group, all you need to do is fill out our inquiry form and we will get back to you with interesting choices.
