Why Going to a Private Marina?
Private Marinas are not over crowded. In most cases they are very clean, easy going, no heavy noise there and some of them also have extra features such as a pool, a nice restaurant and easy going bar to have a drink there.
You use private marines when:
- You wish to see famous towns, that have incredibly crowded ports
- When you need to escape bad weather and all ports are full (this happens very rarely)
- When being more comfortable and a bit away from it all means more to you then saving 200 €
How much private marinas cost?
Spending the night in a private marina is never included in charter price.
The prices depend on the marina and the size of the gulet.
They range from 200 €/night/gulet and up to 500 €/night/gulet or more.
Check the price with the captain before you decide to spend the night in marina.

Private Marina Advice
If you are going to more crowded places such as Bodrum, Mykonos, Hvar, Split or similar it pays off to spend a bit more for a private marina.
You will stay away from the madness that can be going on in a city centers in high season – while still being close enough to check it out.
If you divide 300 € on 10 persons, this is a small fee you will pay for a good night sleep and a comfort of a private marina.
In this cases it is a good idea to spend a bit more.
