South-east of the (Hamam) Manastir bay, you can find ruins of a bath in the water – known as Cleopatra’s Bath, or known as Sunken Bath Bay. Cleopatra Bath – Hamam Bay according to myth is said to have been where Cleopatra herself used to come and bathe. Here you will find ruins old Hamam (Turkish baths) which are now submerged under the water. The bay has a stunning background and shore, but the main attraction for sure is the ruins of a monastery, but a big part is located underwater. Here you can do exploring and snorkeling over these ruins. Not far from Hamam Bay through the pine trees are the remains of Lydae Ancient City. You can still see the ruins of a mausoleum, temple walls from the Roman and Byzantine periods. It’s truly a wondrous area to explore.
After breakfast and morning cup of Turkish coffee or tea, you will be leaving Cleopatra’s Bay and heading towards Tersane Island famous for numerous ruins visible on the shore dating back to Byzantine times. You can truly immerse yourself into history and beautiful nature. In the northwestern part of the island, there is a well-protected bay where you can find a marvelous place to relax and enjoy. Maybe bring along a book and you will be set for hours. The harbor is quite shallow here and great for families who have young children wanting to have a dip. Next stop after lunch will be Bedri Rahmi Bay, is one the most popular bays in Göcek Gulf. This Bay is known by the Lycian name of Taşyaka or Dark bay, due to its natural beauty and historical significance. This area had become a popular place in the Mediterranean and is known as the Turquoise Coast. Fethiye, with its majestic mountains, numerous sandy beaches, islands, and hidden bays is is an ideal place to visit on a gulet cruise. If you prefer something more relaxing, Fethiye streets are full of shops, bars, and restaurants that offer a pleasant shopping experience. Fish Market especially is recommended to visit. Keep in mind that dinner will be served around 08:00 pm. Overnight will be in calm Turunç Fountain Bay, close to Fethiye port.
