Flexible, bright cabins

Her beamy hull provides surprisingly large cabins for her 27m / 88ft length, whose arrangements are ideal for families, particularly for kids or groups of friends who don’t want to share a bed, as four of the six are twins and the remainder are generous doubles.

Amenities in all the ensuite cabin’s bathrooms, with massaging power showers, include shampoo and hair dryers.

Bright sunny saloon

The light and airy cherrywood saloon is a delightful alternative dining area if al fresco dining on the aft deck is occasionally too windy. The saloon’s intimate bar is ideal for a late nightcap.

Choice of shade and sun

Both the aft and foredecks offer comfortable seating which can be either sun-drenched or shaded at the drop of a hat.

Water sports and sailing

Morning Star’s water sports include tender with 150 HP outboard for water skiing, wakeboarding, plus SeaBob, 2 paddleboards and a kayak.

Of course, when the wind is right, that schooner rig is a powerful, silent means of progression for the true relaxation experience of the sea.

Last but not least

Her crew. Owner and captain makes sure the clients always get the best possible services. Yacht Charter FAQs

FAQs

Whether this is your first charter or a familiar luxury, we believe planning your journey should be part of the pleasure. This section provides clear answers on the finer points of chartering this exclusive yacht. Our expertise is at your service to ensure every detail is seamlessly arranged.

Are tips for the crew mandatory?

Tips are not mandatory but are a long-standing custom to acknowledge the crew’s dedication and service. While the general guideline is 10–15% of the charter fee, the amount should always reflect your level of satisfaction. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide what feels appropriate. The captain will ensure that any gratuity is fairly distributed among all crew members.

Do any other taxes apply?

In European waters, VAT is applicable on the charter fee, and delivery costs may apply if the yacht is moved to a different port. In other destinations, local taxes may also apply. Your broker will advise you of any applicable rates.

How are charter rates calculated?

Charter rates are usually quoted weekly. If your trip is longer than seven days, the cost is calculated pro rata (weekly rate divided by seven, multiplied by the number of days).

How can we personalize your charter?

Eight weeks before your charter, we send you a detailed preference questionnaire. This allows you to share your group’s preferences, dietary requirements, medical needs, entertainment requests, or any special occasions you’d like to celebrate. This ensures your charter is fully tailor-made.

How does the Charter Agreement work?

Once you confirm your chosen yacht, we will prepare a standard MYBA or Goolets Charter Agreement for signature. If your embarkation or disembarkation point differs from the yacht’s main harbor, delivery/redelivery fees may apply.

Is smoking allowed on board?

Smoking is permitted only on exterior decks and on some yachts, only in specifically designated outdoor areas. For safety reasons, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the yacht. The crew will explain the designated smoking areas during the safety briefing at embarkation.

Is the Internet and Satellite TV available on board Gulets & traditional yachts:

The internet is usually available via local mobile broadband, which is sufficient for emails and light browsing but may be limited in speed and coverage when sailing between islands. Satellite TV is often available in salons or some cabins, but service can be less consistent compared to larger motor yachts. For guests needing stronger connectivity, portable upgrades may be arranged where possible.

Is the Internet and Satellite TV available on board Luxury motor yachts & larger vessels?

Most yachts are equipped with mobile broadband internet and satellite TV. In remote areas, coverage may be limited, but many yachts now also offer Starlink, providing faster and more reliable service at sea. Upgrades or special packages can be arranged in advance (subject to availability and additional fees). If you require stable internet for work, please let us know before your charter.

Should I get insurance?

Yes, we strongly recommend it. Guests should consider: - Cancellation & Curtailment Insurance – to protect your financial investment in case of unforeseen events. - Personal Accident & Medical Insurance – for your own safety and peace of mind. - Charterers’ Liability Insurance – to cover potential third-party claims. - Baggage & Personal Belongings Insurance – against theft, loss, or damage. Your broker can provide guidance and help arrange the appropriate coverage.

What about package-based yachts?

Instead of A.P.A., expenses are usually covered through fixed packages. These may include food (half board or full board), drinks (all-inclusive packages, bar consumption, or corkage fees), port taxes, and fuel for motorized water sports (charged per hour or as a flat fee). These extras are typically settled directly on the day of embarkation. High-season rates (July, August, Christmas/New Year, major events) are higher due to demand, while low-season rates apply at other times. The rates shown on our website are up to date but may be subject to change.

What are the charter terms?

Most charters follow MYBA Terms: the yacht is fully equipped, insured, and crewed (wages and crew provisions are covered by the owner). All other operating costs—fuel, port fees, food, beverages, personal expenses, excursions, and communications—are covered by the charterer. Occasionally, some yachts may offer alternative terms such as food and beverage packages. Your broker will clarify the exact terms for your chosen yacht.

What are the actual operating costs?

For yachts that have A.P.A. (Advance provisioning allowance) In addition to the charter fee, you will pay an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), usually 30–40% of the charter fee. This covers food and beverages, fuel, port fees, and any other running expenses. The captain manages the APA during your trip and provides a final account at the end. Any unused funds are refunded; any shortfall is settled before disembarkation.

What are the charter payment terms?

When signing the charter agreement, a 50% deposit of the total charter fee is required. The balance (remaining 50%), along with any Advance Provisioning Allowance (if applicable), taxes, positioning fees, and other agreed costs, must be paid by bank transfer six to eight weeks before departure. Payments can be made by bank transfer or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
