Wine Cruise Route Croatia with gulet Dolin

Wine cruise route Croatia with gulet Dolin

In Croatia you can have 2 different Wine Cruise Routes:

  • Normal Wine Route – nice, more of a DELUXE itinerary most suitable for DELUXE GULETS
  • Wine Cruise Route on Gulet Dolin – where you can enjoy best wines in the World in a most stunning locations – for a normal budget

This wine cruise route is very highly recommended for:

  • Middle – aged couples looking for relaxation
  • Passionate wine lovers
  • Active seniors

Not recommended for groups with small children or Teens as they will find this cruise a bit boring.

What are main highlights of this itinerary

  • Dolin is one of few gulets in Croatia that allows you to bring your own drinks on board. This means you can visit best vineyards, taste their best vines and bring them with you on a gulet. The only thing better then a great wine in a wine cellar is having this vine on a gulet in one of the amazing bays you will visit.
  • The itinerary is proven and tested by capt. Ivica which is one of the friendliest and most flexible gulet owners in Croatia. The amount of experience you get from this cruise is just out of this world.
  • The route is a perfect combination of vine & beautiful sights & special tours & stunning bays.
wineyard bol brač.

This itinerary is the 3 HIT COMBO of Islands Brač, Hvar & Vis. This 3 islands offer incredible range of extra activities and sightseeing – and the best part is this route is super flexible.

If you wish to stay in some place for a longer time or if you wish to change a direction of your cruise – this route will allow you to do it.

Ivica Benič

This route is best for people who generally have 2 or 3 highlights which are a MUST SEE PLACES along with flexibility and open mind to owners suggestions that will happen along the way.

If there is a captain in Croatia that will show you THE MOST (in a super laid back fassion) then this is Ivica, from Dolin.

Trogir - Trogir cruise with gulet Dolin

Trogir

Day 1: Trogir – Šolta

  • Check in: Trogir town
  • Visiting island Šolta – places Maslinica with bays Šešula, Nečujam & Livka

INSIDER INFO: Masilinica is very interesting with a couple of small islands in front. The city center of Nečujam is really nothing special with huge apartments built for mass tourism which did not quite succeed and is now slowly falling apart. But the Livka bay is very nice.

On Šolta you have a great option for wine tasting and olive oil tasting trip to a family business Zlatko Blagaić in Maslinica. You can also visit family vineyard Kaštelanac in Gornje Selo (transfer with a car from Nečujam needed for this as Maslinica is to far to just walk there). This can all be arranged upon request.

ZlatniRat - otok Brac_0

Day 2: Brač

  • Blace on island Brač. A beautiful bay & with the possibility to climb the monastery Blace.
  • Departing to Bol on Island Brač.
  • This part of the coast has so many wineyards & lovely private pebble beaches to check.
  • Overnight, in the town of Bol, with wine-tasting at the first dalmatian wine association since 1903.

INSIDER INFO: if you are up for a adventure a visit to monastery Blace is very highly recommended. The location is amazing but you need a transfer to get there and some walking is needed. You will stretch your legs there for sure – but it is worth to visit.

Stari Grad Hvar island in Croatia

Day 3 : Bol and Stari Grad

  • Breakfast at the beach of Bol! This is incredibly nice, because there”s no one there in the morning, its just for us – and this is something very few people experience – ever.
  • Later crossing over to island Hvar, in a beautiful bay Žukova. Swimming & lunch. Sometimes we stay overnight there as it is so beautiful. This is the decision we leave to the clients.
  • In the afternoon more lovely bay, & usually no ones there, overnight in the best port in the area Stari Grad.
Loving couple tasting wines in winery cellar
  • Simply every one loves it, there are so many legends here, but leave this part to Ivica (the owner).
  • You simply must visit a winery of the family Tomić, its 5 m. under the ground in a rock, an unforgetable wine-tasting with fine wines & cheeses.

INSIDER INFO: visiting the wine cellar in St. Nedelja is a MUST HAVE for any serious wine enthusiast.

Hvar

Day 4: Island Hvar

  • On the way to the city of Hvar, visiting another pebble beach.
  • If its not too windy, we stay for a few hours in front of the harbor, & overnight just across Hvar on anchorage, close to the popular Carpe-Diem.
  • On this wine cruise route it is all about flexibility.

INSIDER INFO: Party people can go to Carpe Diem while others can stay on board and have an easy going vine tasting experience on gulet Dolin surrounded only by stars.

DOLIN

Day 5: Island Vis

  • Having a swim spot somewhere close & heading to Island Vis. Finding a nice spot for anchorage & swimming around the boat, usually here its good for some water sports.
  • Later visiting the old town of Vis, wine tasting in an ex military tunnel, wines of family Lipanović.
Town of vis CROP
  • Here we discovered a very nice & interesting restaurant LOLA. Our local boy met a Spanish girl & named the restaurant by their daughter Lola. A few of our groups where there & told u that its a little bit more priced than in the other restaurants, but its worth it. Its garden is inside of the walls, in three or four levels- very interesting to see.
  • To come to Vis, we need calm weather, so we strictly respect the weather conditions. But if the weather will be good we will also visit the other side of the Island.

INSIDER INFO: Vis has so many local taverns, wine tasting options and extra trips options, that we recommended to discuss all the possibilities with Ivica on spot. He is full of small secrets and interesting insight which will make your experience on Vis even better.

PakleniOtoci - otok Hvar

Day 6: Island Hvar

  • Back to the Pakleni Islands in front of Hvar. There are many bays all around, however Pakleni Islands are special.
  • From there you can visit town Hvar.
  • Really good trip goes to Spanish castle located nearby.
Bobovisca

Day 7: Bobovišće

  • This is a special day. You last day/night should be amazing. Ivica will take you to Bobovišće. Ivica always like to come to a nice & quiet place (as he likes to say, a magic quiet place – that is on island Brač in a place called Bobovišće).
  • We come in to this beautiful bay and moor in the harbour in a way no one else can. That is a surprise and we have to leave some secrets for your cruise – we can just say the location is really incredible and it will be a perfect ending to your cruise.
Trogir

Day 8: Back to Trogir

  • Your group will be back to Trogir in time for you to catch your flights.
  • You have to depart the gulet till 10.00 AM.
  • However if you have late flight, we can store your luggage and take you on your last tour & trip.

INSIDER INFO: This can be either guided tour of Trogir it can be a visit to super “local” wine cellar – family business, it can be a trip to largest Croatian Aquarium or you just have the time off on your own. Last day can be either full of anxiety while waiting for your flight or another amazing experience to remember. All depend on planning up front.
